三年喇，足足等咗哩樣嘢三年，話長唔長，話短唔短。其實喺華府打工都算唔錯，喺哩三年同過好多高手過招學到好多嘢、亦見過好多大大小小唔同嘅客人、華府又比到我想要嘅人工，已經好滿足。宜家升咗做『高級伴讀書童』，我覺得係時候去報答番華府，我會將以前學過嘅技倆發揚光大，同時又會學下啲新嘅嘢，例如學下點樣 manage 啲『迷途小書童』、點樣 lead 啲『迷途小書童』等等。
Der Neue (”The New” in German) Volkswagen Golf GTI is great - It has a powerful engine (200bhp 2.0T FSI engine), a super fast response gearbox (DSG double-clutch gearbox), a strong and rigid laser-welded chassis (the new A5 platform), and a set of good looking GTI body kit, etc. This car is perfect. My friends keep asking me to get one. But do I need one? I don’t think so.
There are some reasons why I am not going to get one:
I have a Golf 2.0 FSI which is 16 months old. It shares the same chassis and most of the options (except those GTI unique options) with der neue GTI. It doesn’t really make sense for me to trade my 16 month-old car and get one which is something similar to what I have now.
I am not that rich like I can afford a new car every 16 months.
If I really want to get a new car, it is not necessary for me to get der neue GTI. My 2.0 FSI is already the second Golf I have in my life (I had a 1994 MK3 Golf 2.0 GL). I think I should try something else. Volkswagen is going to launch lots of new cars (12 new cars by 2008!). I better focus on something other than Golf. I am not saying I don’t like Golf. I love Golf, but I love Volkswagen more.
Der neue GTI is powerful but unfortunately I drive very slow. I don’t think I can fully unleash its power. I will just waste it. (Note: my normal driving speed is not like 160 km/h!)
There are too many GTIs on the street. The number of GTIs (450+) is more than double the number of 2.0 FSIs (220+) in Hong Kong. I want something unique.
Der neue GTI attracts not only Volkswagen enthusiasts but also aliens. They look for heavy mods and the shits I don’t like. I don’t mind they drive GTI but I do mind their BS.
Last but not least, I love what I have now! I love my 2.0 FSI!
Der neue Golf GTI is great but I will not get it due to the above reasons. I will get one IF (AND ONLY IF) I win Mark 6 (the first prize HK$30,000,000 I mean).
